“I began doing Pilates with Magda several years ago. Initially I was very nervous about hurting myself, as I had suffered previously from sports-related injury that had flared up after certain activities, such as yoga. But Magda was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, so that I quickly gained confidence as she worked with me to slowly build up structural areas of weakness. It was very exciting to build up my strength and fitness without ever finding myself in pain.
Sometime later, I became pregnant with my second child, and Magda worked with me throughout the pregnancy and afterwards as I recovered and regained my strength. I cannot describe how incredibly helpful it was to work with Magda throughout this process. Magda worked with me from the outset to maintain strength and flexibility in a safe and productive way, as well as to prepare for the birth. I dealt with a great deal of muscular discomfort during the pregnancy, so Magda skillfully designed Pilates’ workouts that helped to ameliorate my symptoms. I ended up looking forward intensely to my Pilates classes, because the combination of stretching and strengthening made me much more comfortable. I don’t know how I would have gotten through this without Magda’s incredible help and support. My body jumped right back immediately after the birth, again I am sure, because of my work with Magda. Now, a year and a half after my second daughter was born, I am a dedicated Pilates enthusiast.
